British company, Mutts & Hounds design and make stylish and quintessentially English products for hound and home. Founded in 2011, with previous experience in pattern cutting, dog coat design and a degree in fashion & textiles, founder Laura Gough recognised a need for beautiful, well made and well fitting dog products that supported British manufacturing and suited the country set as well as the forward thinking fashionistas of the city.
Today Mutts & Hounds still retain a vast majority of their manufacturing at their workshops in north Wiltshire or the neighbouring county of Somerset. They also source a number of further skills, fabrics and products from London, Yorkshire, Leicestershire and Lancashire.
Based in the west country just outside of Bath in a quirky stable conversion, Mutts & Hounds draw inspiration from the surrounding English countryside, designing products that withstand the elements incorporating quality fabrics such as quilts and waxed waterproofs with warm Sherpa fleeces and 100% woollen tweeds spun in Yorkshire, always working with their core values at the forefront: High-quality, well-designed dog products that are undeniably British.
Their range includes stylish dog beds made using exclusive printed linens, quirky neckerchiefs, practical soft harnesses in a range of tweeds and organic linens, classic Italian leather collars and leads, homewares and gifts for hound and home, and not forgetting the dog's favourite - squeaky bone toys available in a range of stylish fabrics and patterns.
As well as having products available within a number of gorgeous boutiques up and down the country and overseas, they also supply high-profile stockists including Harrods of Knightsbridge, John Lewis and Selfridges.
